Anne O’Reilly
Anne O’Reilly, a former Royal Navy officer, is the Managing Director of Mabway Ltd and has spent the past 12 years working in defence and commercial training. UK based Mabway provides requirement analysis, training needs analysis, course design, accreditation and Quality Assurance feedback for the courses it provides, which to date have been in Defence, First Aid, Conflict Management, Leadership, preparing individuals or teams to travel to countries with diverse cultural and environmental challenges, maritime training and for the rail industry.
Whilst at Alenia Marconi Systems, now part of BAE Systems, she was on the original European Training & Simulation Association (ETSA) Board and attended the inaugural meeting in Paris in 12 November 2003. She has now rejoined the ETSA Board and will ensure that the particular capabilities and experiences of the European defence training & simulation community, both users and suppliers, are fully refl ected in the 2010 conference programme, along with those of the worldwide training & simulation community.
She was Managing Director of a major UK defence simulation and training business and was
instrumental in many key initiatives to introduce major change in the public sector training
arena. These included the setting up of a new training services business, the introduction
of two cutting edge Public Private Partnership contracts, the introduction of technology
and management systems to allow distance learning and student tracking to large, mobile
workforces.
