ITEC 2026 Best Paper Award

Celebrating Excellence in Innovation and Presentation

Each year, the Best Paper Award recognises outstanding contributions to our Conference that push the boundaries of innovation and insight within the ITEC community. ITEC in London, held a high-calibre, thought-provoking and forward-leaning technical conference programme, which delivered immense value to our delegates but also made the competition difficult for our Best Paper Award Committee.

During the conference, this committee evaluated the technical papers and accompanying presentations to determine the 2026 winner. The award was presented to the contribution which most exemplified ITEC's 2026 theme, 'Training technologically empowered forces', while also recognising a speaker whose passion, expertise and engaging stage presence truly set them apart.

The Awarded Best Paper 2026:

From VHR satellite to simulation: an AI-powered reality pipeline

Key takeaways

  • Learn how building simulation environments from real-world data creates a truly trustworthy digital twin for critical missions.

  • Discover how state-of-the-art AI can extract a complete, multi-layered object stack, guaranteeing temporal and spatial coherence.

  • Explore the operational impact of a scalable pipeline combined with agile satellite constellations to deliver high-fidelity databases.

Best Paper Author

Dr Sebastien Bosch, 3D Product Manager - Airbus Defence and Space

A background in Aerial Robotics and Signal Processing led Dr Bosch to specialise in Remote Sensing using optical satellite imagery and large-scale 2D/3D mapping for military and civilian uses. In his roles as an expert and manager, he fosters innovation by transforming R&D into practical tools and optimising processes. Currently, Dr Bosch serves as 3D Product Manager at Airbus Defence & Space.

This recognition is deeply meaningful to us, as it validates that Airbus Defence & Space can contribute effectively to helping the simulation community face its challenges. We look forward to becoming an even more active part of this community in the future.
