Mr. Amit Kapadia is the Project Manager for Synthetic Environment (PM SE) Chief Engineer at the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation in Orlando, FL. He provides holistic technical direction and management across the diverse PM SE portfolio that spans the Synthetic Training Environment (STE) modernization efforts, constructive command post simulations and medical training products that instantiate an immersive & integrated capability set.
Amit has worked in a variety of Department of Defense domains supporting the acquisition of test instrumentation, live-virtual-constructive simulations, Mission Command systems, and cyberspace operations training platform. Core technical leadership positions included One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF, Army's premier constructive entity-based simulation), Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE, Army's Mission Command modernization for the Common Operating Environment), and Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE, United States Cyber Command's flagship training platform).
He received his Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. He is also Level III certified in Systems Planning, Research, Development & Engineering (SPRDE) and Program Management.
