Henry Clarke
Henry obtained a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Birmingham, and has since held systems, lead, principal and engineering manager roles at Smiths Aerospace, Eaton Aerospace and Cobham. Throughout his 20 year career to date, he has found that modelling the fun out of systems has been more effective than planning the fun out of them in order to deliver them right first time. At Cobham he led both the Simulation and Modelling functional department and the Research and Development integrated Project Team. Henry has been working for Stratospheric Platforms for just over a year now, enjoying the wide variety of technologies being developed to achieve autonomous flight at 60,000ft, powered by liquid hydrogen delivering ubiquitous mobile connectivity.
