Colonel Associate Professor Jan Drozd, Ing. Colonel Associate Professor Jan Drozd currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Military Leadership at the University of Defence in Brno, Czech Republic. He has held various command positions within the Armed Forces and participated in three international missions – in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, and the Central African Republic. He was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent) and focuses his research on the use of constructive simulation to support decision-making. His work also explores methods for expressing operational effectiveness of various courses of action and enhancing the acquisition process through constructive simulation. In addition, he is engaged in the development and application of virtual reality and virtual simulation technologies for education and training purposes.
