Ms Laura Samsó Pericón
Laura Samsó Pericón is a defence and emerging-technologies strategist, researcher and speaker working at the intersection of human-machine teaming, cognitive security, autonomous systems and decision-making under uncertainty.
Her work examines how trust, cognition and system behaviour affect human performance in AI-enabled and degraded operational environments. She contributes to international defence research and capability discussions, including the JAPCC AI Handbook, and has presented work spanning human-machine trust, neuro-secure MUM-T and trust by design. Through Synarea Insights, she connects emerging technology with its implications for operational readiness, cognitive resilience and the evolving human role in autonomous systems. Her perspective also draws on experience across aerospace and defence, technology strategy and expedition leadership, where decision-making and adaptation under uncertainty have direct practical consequences.
