Lt. Col. Walter David, MSc Eng., is a modelling and simulation and geospatial professional. He is serving in NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence (M&S COE) as Chief of the Analysis and Lessons Learned Section. His studies and training include engineering, geographic sciences, project management, civil-military cooperation, strategic decision making, crisis and disaster management. He served as Chief Geospatial Officer in NATO missions and as CIS Information Integration Services officer and project manager Information Exchange Gateways at Allied Command Transformation, Norfolk, United States. He has 18 years’ experience in Modelling and Simulation (M&S) and from 2007 he has been member of NATO Science and Technology Organization research task groups MSG-053 Rapid Scenario Generation, MSG-068 NATO Training and Education Network, IST-114 Trusted Information Sharing for Partnerships. MSG-146 Simulation for Training and Operation Group and MSG-147 Modelling and Simulation support to Crisis and Disaster Management Processes and Climate Change Implications  He is a conference lecturer and member of US Cartography and Geographic Information Society and researcher of Ronin Institute. His research interests include analysis, modelling and simulation support to crisis decision-making, preparedness and resilience, decision support systems and tools
