Wayne Swiggs is a seasoned cyber strategist and technologist with over 25 years of experience in Defence and national security. He specialises in designing high-impact cyber exercises and immersive training environments, blending technical depth, strategic foresight, and creative problem-solving to drive capability development.
Since the inception of a UK full-spectrum cyber exercise, Wayne has provided technical leadership to simulate real-world threats and rigorously test national resilience. Internationally, he has assessed elite Cyber Protection Teams at flagship U.S. exercises.
Wayne played a pivotal role in launching the inaugural CyberFirst hackathon, guiding students through hands-on exploration of emerging technologies. He continues to innovate in experiential cyber learning and is a panel member for the UK Cyber Leaders Challenge.
A Fellow of both the British Computer Society (BCS) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Wayne is a passionate advocate for youth engagement and accessibility in the tech sector. He serves on the TechUK Skills and Inclusion Council and dedicates his time freely to mentoring students at both college and university levels.
