Wink Bennett
Dr. Winston “Wink” Bennett received his Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Texas A&M University in 1995. He is currently a Modeling and Simulation Subject Matter Expert supporting the Department of the Air Force Chief Modeling and Simulation Office (DAF CMSO) and he supports the NATO Modeling and Simulation Group as a member of the US National Delegation. He has also served on ITEC committees for several years. In his current role, he provides subject matter expertise to a number of CMSO activities including novel technology exploration and exploitation for military education and training, Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and workforce development, and modeling and simulation standards development and application. He also maintains a number of community outreach and several international partnerships for the office. Over his career, he has been involved in numerous NATO science and technology research activities, spearheaded the US Combat Air Forces migration to proficiency-based training and led the demonstration and evaluation of live and virtual integrated training, and created tools that enabled real-time in-aircraft and in-simulator performance assessment to improve mission readiness and job proficiency. He maintains an active presence in the international research and practice community through his work on various professional committees and his contributions in professional journals and forums including ITEC. He is Fellow of several professional societies and an AFRL research Fellow. He is an IITSEC Fellow and also a National Center for Simulation Hall of Fame Recipient.
