In the world of Formula 1 and Esports, data analytics can be the difference between a good race and an expensive defeat.  Heineken’s ability to link its disparate systems and applications in real-time enables them to cover everything from making sure that a forklift driver’s iPad has the right data to put the right pallet in the right truck, to helping systems process credit card payments in a fraction of a second.  These diverse areas can be applied to the cutting-edge of military training, where synthetic environments will be able to engage platforms in the live environment in real-time, enabled by data.  This paper explores how data-driven insights from both scenarios can be successfully applied to military collective training, whilst understanding how the blocks to progress can be overcome working with a partnering mindset and practice.  Data-driven military collective training will enable real-time training analytics, digital resilience of the training ecosystem and cyber security.
