Chris is Chief Commercial Officer of Flare Bright. He has worked in commercial roles in the aerospace and defence sector for over 10 years. Chris is co-Chair for the ADS Group's Drone Platform and Counter Drone Special Interest Group, is a Board Director of ARPAS, the UK drone industry trade body and is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society's Remotely Piloted and Autonomous Aircraft Systems Specialist Group.
He was asked to be a judge for Airwards in 2022, and joins the leading drone personalities in judging these prestigious awards. He sits on the EPSRCs' Strategic Advisory Team for Mathematical Sciences and is the current Royal Society Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Oxford University Mathematical Institute. He has a passion for maths, science and technology-driven start-ups in the aerospace and defence sector, and is recognised as one of the main voices for the drone and Advanced Air Mobility sector.
