Neil Curran is the R&D Lead for VRAI, a training simulation and data analytics company.  Prior to becoming the R&D Lead in VRAI, Neil was a Senior Officer in the Irish Defence Forces and has a background in data analytics, strategy development and innovation. As part of R&D undertaken within VRAI, Neil has conducted research on determining training difficulty with simulators that will be applied to the development of adaptive learning environments. He has also overseen the data science work undertaken to codify airmanship for pilot training, specifically creating algorithms to identify when pilots are conducting lookout procedures and instrument checking.
