Dr. Susan Adams is the manager of the Applied Cognitive Science department at Sandia National Laboratories. Susan oversees a high performing team of 15 human systems experts who partner with other scientists and engineers to solve the nation’s hardest national security problems in areas such as Global Security, Cybersecurity, Nuclear Deterrence, and Energy and Homeland Security. The team utilizes a variety of methods and approaches, including AR/VR, to research and solve these complex, critical problems. Susan has a PhD in Cognitive Psychology and has given numerous presentations throughout her career, including at the 2023 XR conference hosted by Sandia.
