Mr. Ricardo J. Escobar is the Chief Engineer for the Training Simulation Software (TSS) and Training Management Tool (TMT) at the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). TSS/TMT constitutes the central software infrastructure for the Synthetic Training Environment (STE), the modernization program that converges live, virtual, and constructive simulation domains.
In 2003, Mr. Escobar began his career with the Army at the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM).  He provided network engineering services, including the upgrade of security services to Army installations.
In 2006, Mr. Escobar joined PEO STRI, supporting the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), the software-intensive system for training Army commanders. He collaborated with the Air Force Agency for Modeling & Simulation (AFAMS) on the establishment of an interface between the Army's Warfighter's Simulation (WARSIM) and the Air Force's Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM).
In 2014, Mr. Escobar served on a detail assignment with Army Contracting Command (ACC)-Orlando, promoting procurement best business practices.
Mr. Escobar holds a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida and a Master's of Science in Program Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
